Not yet , watch this space! Our plan is to release one in Spring 2026. (As of this writing, that’s still on the horizon.)
Not anymore. While we once offered bespoke baked goods (as our founder’s grandmother did), we now focus exclusively on bringing delicious recipes to your kitchen.
Since 2024, we’ve provided options to view recipes in both grams and cups. However, our recipes are developed in grams, and we can’t guarantee identical results using cup conversions. Precision matters in baking!
Unfortunately not. Accurately calculating nutritional data is a big undertaking, and we prefer to invest our time into creating new recipes and beautiful photos instead. That said, you’re welcome to use calorie-tracking websites to enter the ingredient lists and estimate nutrition.
If we know it’s hard to source in some regions, we include alternatives in the ingredients list. If you don’t see one, just reach out via social media or email we’d be happy to suggest a substitute suited to your locale.
Absolutely! Baking is a science, and even small details can affect outcomes. First, do a careful read-through of the recipe. If all else fails, contact us via social media or email, and we’ll work with you to figure it out.
Yes, it essentially is. We’re self-employed, and blogging is our main income. The schedule is flexible sometimes we take breaks, and sometimes we’re full throttle (especially during holidays like November and December). Long story short: it’s not glamorous, but it’s rewarding and it took lots of hard work to reach here.
Not yet, but I hope to build up more visitors first. My goal is for AustRecipe.com to become sustainable through ads and partnerships in the future. For now, I’m focusing on growing the site and sharing recipes with as many people as possible.
Yes, our photos are usually shot by us. We typically use a Nikon D500 with a 50 mm f/1.4 lens nowadays; previously, we used a Nikon D3100 with a 50 mm f/1.4 lens. For videos, we often use something like a Samsung Galaxy S22, Iphone 13. Portraits or event shots may sometimes be taken by guest photographers. and sometimes we use Ai :p
Not at the moment. We only post recipes we’ve personally created and tested; that’s what our readers trust. All advertising is handled through our trusted partner and follows best practices for transparency and quality.
Products/ingredients can be sent on a gifted basis, but there’s no obligation for us to feature them. If we do share something, we’ll rigorously follow applicable advertising guidelines and clearly disclose that it was gifted (e.g., using tags like “#ADGifted”).
Shoot us an email at contact@austrecipe.com. We’re always happy to help and don’t forget to join our mailing list for new recipes and updates!
